Basic Designing and Installing Solar Photovoltaic 46 Hours This course will explain the mysteries of installing Solar Photovoltaic Systems and will cover topics including Solar and PV Basics, How to Design PV Systems, National Electrical Code Requirements, How to Run Your PV Business, Understanding all Rebate Programs. This course meets the NYSERDA requirements of the Relevant Education and Training Component of PON 1050, PV Center Program. This course will offer NABCEP entry level certificate of knowledge. Electrical Calculations (IAEI, N.J. and NABCEP credits) 8 Hours Needed for this seminar is a 2008 NEC book, Calculations Book ($25.00) and Calculator. OSHA 10 Outreach (NABCEP Certified) 10 Hours NY State Law requires all electrical workers employed on any public works construction, reconstruction, maintenance and/or repair projects to be certified as having completed the OSHA 10 Hour Safety Course, prior to performing the work. Solar PV Business Fundamentals 16 Hours This seminar is for those who are currently working or seeking employment with a renewable energy company as a Sales Associate, Site Assessor, Solar Estimator. The material covered in this class will include: Site Assessment and Site Surveys (sun orientation, inclination and product placement); Major Components and Balance of System (BOS); Overcoming Structural Integrity and electrical issues; Selling Practices (techniques in marketing, available incentives and insurance requirements). NABCEP Certified Installer Exam Preparation 16 Hours Since 2003, the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) has been awarding professional credentials to renewable energy installers. NABCEP's rigorous competency standards for certification send a clear message to consumers, financiers and public officials that the Industry stresses high quality, safe and ethical business practice and workmanship standards. This course will help you prepare for the exam. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING THE NABCEP CERTIFIED INSTALLER EXAM, YOU MUST REGISTER WITH NABCEP BEFORE THEIR REGISTRATION DEADLINE.
